Issues That Matter

Leadership that Listens, Transparency that Delivers

Fiscal Discipline

Michelle will use her 30+ years experience as a CPA specializing in Governmental Accounting, Auditing and Finance to ensure every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. She will demand a thorough financial analysis before committing public funds to any large scale projects. She also has the ability to spot wasteful spending and the ability to read complex government budgets. Michelle will advocate for reduced property taxes.

Public Land

When it comes to public land, no major decision should be made without a public vote. This is the strongest safeguard we have for transparency and accountability. It is such an important decision and should not be left up to 5 people on city council. Public land belongs to the people, and should always reflect the needs and voices of our community, not outside interests.

Public Safety

When someone calls for help, our first responders are the ones who run toward the problem. Michelle will fight for fair pay, better staffing, and retention policies so we can keep experienced police, fire, and emergency professionals right here in Boca. They take care of us, and we need to take care of them.

Affordability

Homeownership is central to the American dream, and a key saving model, and Boca Raton must do more to help residents achieve it. Most of the programs out there aren’t well funded. Michelle will advocate for increased funding for first-time homebuyer programs, explore matching initiatives, and down payment assistant programs and ease qualifying criteria that reduce barriers to entry.

Smart Infrastructure

Our roads and intersections weren’t designed for the rapid growth we’ve seen. Michelle believes in traffic planning, safe pedestrian and bike access, and transportation solutions that reduce congestion. No more build now, plan latter. She will plan for infrastructure before approving development.

Preservation

Our beaches and green spaces are part of what makes Boca special, and they’re worth protecting. Michelle will push back against overdevelopment that harms our environment and support smart, sustainable practices that keep our city beautiful.
